Unofficial Cycle Routes - Kirkintilloch to Kilsyth
This route starts from Cowgate in Kirkintilloch Town Centre and heads along the Forth & Clyde Canal to Twechar before branching off onto a riverside path to Kilsyth. Unfortunately, part of the path into Kilsyth is very rough and rocky, so could do with some improvement.

Once in Kilsyth, you may wish to tackle the Tak-Ma-Doon Road, in which case turn left onto Main Street, right at the end onto Kingston Road, then look out for the sign on the left. The steeply graded Tak-Ma-Doon Road leads to Carron Bridge, from where you could continue straight on to Stirling.
