The National Cycle Network Routes 7 and 75 run across this area, passing through Paisley. Once past Johnstone they split, with Route 75 going to Kilmacolm, Greenock and Gourock, and Route 7 to Lochwinnoch, Irvine and Ayr, both mainly along disused railway lines.
There are various cycle routes radiating from Glasgow Airport, linking to nearby towns and communities. These use a mixture of path, cycle lanes and minor roads. The A77 road between Newton Mearns and Fenwick has a cycle route using part of the old carriageway. There is also a link to Eaglesham via the Eaglesham Moor road.
