Presented here are all the known timetables of bus services in the Glasgow area that are available on the web. Some of these timetables are taken from paper timetable leaflets, while others are on bus company or Traveline websites. All these timetables are believed to be current, other than those outstanding services on the service changes page, but if any others are not up to date please provide feedback. Strathclyde Partnership for Transport administers subsidies for tendered bus services, co-ordinates MyBus (Dial-a-Bus) services for people who are unable to use, or have difficulty in using ordinary buses and who meet the eligibility criteria, and runs the Zonecard intermodal season ticket scheme.

Long-distance Coaches

See Megabus and National Express for details of coach services from Glasgow and Hamilton to Manchester and London, and many other destinations in England. Bus Feda, Doherty's Travel and Hannon Coach operate services between Glasgow and Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland. See Eurolines for services to destinations throughout Europe.

Public Bike Hire

See Nextbike for the automated city bike hire scheme in Glasgow. The pricing is geared for short-term hires, i.e. single trips, and bikes can be returned to any hire station in the city. There are over 60 hire stations around Glasgow, with several more to be added in the near future.

Another hire scheme is operated by Bike & Go which is available at Glasgow Central railway station. The pricing here is per day, and bikes need to be returned to the original pick-up location.

It is also possible to hire bikes privately from some bike shops.

Outside of the Glasgow area, comprehensive travelmaps of Perth & Kinross and Angus are also available. First Scotland East has maps of its main services in Falkirk, Livingston and East Lothian. PlusBus has maps of the main services in Aberdeen, Ayr, Bathgate, Cowdenbeath, Dumfries, Dundee, Dunfermline, Edinburgh, Elgin, Falkirk, Fort William, Inverness, Kilmarnock, Larbert, Linlithgow, Livingston, Perth and Stirling.

Streetmap and Bing both provide detailed general mapping, including street plans and Ordnance Survey maps, of the whole of the United Kingdom. Neither of these companies mark out any bus routes on these maps. However, Google Local has both maps and aerial photography, and shows bus stops with 'next bus' times.

Journey Planners

Traveline Scotland provides timetable information from around Scotland, and has a journey planner for finding out which route or service to take.

Dirty Diesel Hotline

Report an excessively smoky bus or lorry exhaust to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency. Please supply location, vehicle registration number, vehicle type and distinguishing marks if possible.


This site covers bus services to, from and within an area centred on Glasgow including Inverclyde, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, South Lanarkshire, North Lanarkshire, East Dunbartonshire, West Dunbartonshire, the Helensburgh to Garelochhead area of Argyll, the Wanlockhead area of Dumfries & Galloway, and the Strathblane to Balfron area of Stirlingshire. For places outside this area, only services originating in the Glasgow area are mentioned.
