This route runs from the Renfrew-Yoker Ferry, through Yoker and Blairdardie, to Bearsden and Milngavie. See the links to the Renfrew Ferry provided by the unofficial cycle routes from Glasgow, Paisley and Pollok, and the route onwards to Strathblane.
Starting from the Renfrew-Yoker Ferry go up Yoker Ferry Road and continue across Dumbarton Road into Kelso Street. At the far end of Kelso Street, just before the canal, turn right into Archerhill Road. Take the fifth left turn into Bard Avenue. Cross the bridge over the Forth & Clyde Canal and turn right into Keal Avenue.
At the end of Keal Avenue cross Great Western Road at the Pelican Crossing and turn right into Kearn Avenue. Follow this road round and turn right at the roundabout into Moraine Avenue. Carry straight along this road for South Westerton, or turn left at the next roundabout into Kirkhope Drive to head towards Bearsden. Turn right at the top into Drumchapel Road. (If you wish to avoid this busy road, continue along Moraine Avenue until it becomes Almond Road and turn left under the small bridge under the railway described in the unofficial cycle route from Anniesland to Bearsden, then follow that route.)
From Drumchapel Road turn left onto the Garscadden Way path, immediately after the Kinfauns Drive junction. Take this path and fork right to run alongside some playing fields. At the end of this path turn right under the railway bridge, then left, and follow this road to Bearsden Station.
To continue to Milngavie, turn left at the station onto the main Drymen Road, right at the traffic signals into Roman Road and left at the far end into Milngavie Road. This road has cycle lanes which lead to Milngavie.
